Heard Mr. A. Acharjee, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners.
Also heard Mr. DJ Saha, learned counsel appearing for the respondents-
TSECL and Mr. RG Chakraborty, learned counsel appearing for the
respondents-State.
Mr. Acharjee, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that
petitioner of WP(C) 135 of 2024 was first engaged under the respondents in
the year 2000, the petitioner of WP(C) 138 of 2024 in the year 1995 and the
petitioner of WP(C) 147 of 2024 in the year 1992 . Mr. Acharjee, learned
counsel further submits that the Finance Department had issued a Memo
Annexure B
No.F.10(22) Fin(G)/DRW/2004/55909 dated 09.06.2004( to the
writ petitions) wherein the Finance Department had furnished a list of the
workers regarding the approval of Finance Department and the name of

petitioner of WP(C) 135 of 2024 appeared at Sl. No.836, petitioner of
WP(C) 138 of 2024 appeared at Sl. No.830 and petitioner of WP(C) 147 of
2024 appeared at Sl. No.828. However, there was no financial concurrence
at the time of their engagement. Only in the year 1996, the Finance
Department had approved their engagement, but till today, they have been
working as PTWs.
Situated thus, these writ petitions are disposed of with a simple
direction to the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the
petitioners regarding regularization of their services in accordance with law.
With the above direction, the instant writ petitions stand disposed.
