                      Ms. Lekhakumari, learned counsel, appears on behalf of the  
             petitioner; and Mr. W. Darakeshwar, learned Sr. PCCG, appears on behalf of the
             FCI.                                                                 
                      The present petition has been filed on behalf of M/S S.A. Ngamo
             Agency, the petitioner, praying as follows:-                         
                      In the above facts and circumstances, it is, therefore, prayed that this
             Hon’ble Court may graciously be pleased to:                          
                      (i)  Issue Rule in nisi and call for records:               
                      (ii) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or an appropriate direction
                           or order to the Respondent FCI for providing reasonable allocation
                           of rice at the rate of at least 4000 MTs in terms of contract work for
                           transportation of rice from CWC/Dimapur to FSD Sangaiprou;
                      (iii) issue an appropriate direction for considering the case of the
                           petitioner for regular reasonable allocation of rice quota in the spirit
                           of Freedom of Trade and Commerce.                      
                      (iv) in the interim, it may be observed that pendency may not bar the
                           Respondent FCI to consider the case of the petitioner for redressing
                           the grievances of the petitioner;                      
                      (v)  pass such further order(s) or direction(s) which this Hon’ble Court
                           deem fit and proper to secure the ends of justice.     
                                                             ”                    
                      Ms. Lekhakumari, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the 
             petitioner, states that the relief prayed for in this writ petition has been rendered
             infructuous.                                                         
                      The writ petition is disposed of accordingly along with the connected
             application.
