                          Heard Mrs. A. Noutuneshwari Devi, learned counsel       
                appearing for the petitioners and Mrs. L. Monomala, learned Government
                Advocate appearing for the respondents.                           
                [2]       In view of the limited prayer made by the learned counsel
                appearing for the petitioners and as agreed to by both the counsel
                appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is being disposed of
                without waiting for the counter affidavit of the respondents.     
                [3]       At the outset, the learned counsel appearing for the    
                petitioners submitted that the petitioners will be satisfied for the time
                being if the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the
                Commissioner (MAHUD), Government of Manipur to consider the       
                representation dated 21-11-2023 submitted by the petitioners on its own
                merit and strictly in terms of the applicable act and rules and to dispose of
                the same by issuing a speaking order within a stipulated period.  
                [4]       Mrs. L. Monomala, learned Government Advocate appearing 
                for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer of the petitioners is
                confined only to the consideration and disposal of the representation

                submitted by them, she has no objection in disposing of the present writ
                petition as prayed for by the learned counsel appearing for the   
                petitioners.                                                      
                [5]       In view of the submission made by the learned counsel   
                appearing for the parties, the Commissioner (MAHUD), Government of
                Manipur is hereby directed to consider the said representation dated
                21-11-2023 submitted by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in
                terms of the applicable act and rules and to dispose of the same by
                issuing a speaking order within 3(three) months from the date of receipt
                of a certified copy of this order.                                
                [6]       With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition is
                disposed of.
