Heard the parties.
The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Chandil (Kapali
O.P.) P.S. Case No.198 of 2023, corresponding to NDPS Case No. 30 of 2023, for
the offences registered under Sections 17 (b), 21 (b), 25 of the NDPS Act, pending
in the court of Sri Amit Shekhar, learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Seraikella.
About 5.440 grams of brown sugar was recovered from the possession of
the petitioner.
It was submitted that the quantum of seized brown sugar would come
under the purview of intermediary quantity and the petitioner is in custody since
12.09.2023. It was further submitted that petitioner has got no criminal antecedent
and this fact has been mentioned at paragraph-7 of the bail application.
Considering the aforesaid fact, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on
bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail
on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two
sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Sri Amit Shekhar, learned
Additional Sessions Judge-I, Seraikella, in connection with Chandil (Kapali O.P.)
P.S. Case No.198 of 2023, corresponding to NDPS Case No. 30 of 2023.
