CORAM : SRI ANANDA SEN, J.
                                        ------
For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. Ranjit Kumar, Advocate
For the State : Mr. Satish Kumar Keshri, APP
                                        …......
03 /31.08.2024: Heard, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned
                    A.P.P. for the State.
                    2. The petitioner is praying for grant of his anticipatory bail
for allegedly committing offence punishable under Section(s)
272, 273, 290, 414 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section
47(a) of Excise Act in connection with Ichak PS Case No. 84 of
                    2019.
                    3. From the impugned order, I find that the anticipatory bail
of the petitioner which was filed before the Sessions Court vide
ABP No. 1069 of 2019 was rejected. There is nothing on record to
suggest that the petitioner thereafter had challenged the said
order before the High Court. He filed a fresh Anticipatory Bail
Application which is numbered as ABP No. 1814 of 2023 before
the Additional Sessions Judge-IV at Hazaribag. It is clear that
from 2019 to 2023 the petitioner was not arrested and rather in
2023 he had filed fresh Anticipatory Bail Application which
suggests that the petitioner didn’t cooperated with the
investigation rather fled from the same. Further in the counter-
affidavit, the Officer In-charge at paragraph no. 14 has stated that
the petitioner fled from his house.

                    4. The petitioner is trying to evade the investigation, thus, I
am not inclined to grant the privilege of anticipatory bail to the
                    petitioner.
                    5. Accordingly, this Anticipatory Bail Application is
                    dismissed.
                                                  (ANANDA SEN, J.)
