Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be kept with
the record.
Records of Basirhat Police Station Case No. 1314 of
2019 dated 24.11.2019 reflect that learned Magistrate was
fixing dates on close proximity initially of one month. All on a
sudden on February 2024, the learned Magistrate adjourned
the matter for a period of six months.
Mr. Mondal, learned advocate appearing for the
petitioners submits that in case of one of the petitioners, the
travel document would expire in the month of April 2024 and
in respect of other accused petitioner in the month of June
2024.
The learned Magistrate is directed to either prepone
the date prior to 24.04.2024 or in the alternative direct the
police authorities to make arrangements for extending the
travel documents of the petitioners. No further criminal
cases should be registered for the petitioners staying beyond
2
the period of permission granted and all efforts be taken to
extend the time period.
The learned Magistrate would give protection in case
he is unable to deliver the judgement or complete the
argument by April, 2024.
With the aforesaid observations, the revisional
application being CRR 907 of 2024 is disposed of.
Pending connected application, if any, is consequently
disposed of.
